Jill Coil
Co-Founder, VIP Volleyball Academy
Jill Coil is a passionate volleyball advocate, accomplished attorney, and the founder of VIP Volleyball Academy in North Texas. A proud Utah native, Jill was an All-State high school volleyball player and a varsity letterman who competed at the club level with Players Volleyball Club in Orem, Utah. She continued her athletic journey at Snow College, where she played collegiate volleyball before pursuing her legal career.
Professionally, Jill is a respected lawyer and entrepreneur. She is the owner and founder of CoilLaw LLC, Moxie Law LLC, and SimpleEnding.com, combining her legal expertise with a drive to make impactful change.
After relocating to North Texas and watching her daughter play club volleyball, Jill saw firsthand the challenges many clubs faced. While physical training was emphasized, mental and emotional development was often overlooked. This realization led her to launch VIP (Volleyball Impact Performance) Academy.
At VIP, Jill’s mission is to empower girls not just as athletes—but as confident, resilient leaders. VIP focuses on developing the whole player—physically, mentally, and emotionally—to prepare them not just for competition, but for life.

With more than 35 years of international coaching experience, Mauro Grasso is widely regarded as one of the most respected and accomplished volleyball minds in the world.
Born and raised in Brazil, Mauro began his journey as a player, competing at the highest professional level in one of the most competitive volleyball nations in the world. While championships define his résumé, player development defines his legacy.
In every program Mauro has been a part of, his primary focus has been long-term athlete growth. He has built systems that emphasize technical mastery, tactical intelligence, discipline, and mental toughness from a young age. Many of the athletes he has trained as juniors have gone on to compete professionally, represent national teams, and succeed at the collegiate level around the world.
His rare ability to understand the entire developmental pathway, from foundational fundamentals to elite professional performance, allows him to teach the game with clarity, progression, and purpose. He does not simply coach teams. He builds players.
Equally impactful is Mauro’s dedication to mentoring coaches. Throughout his career, he has invested significant time in educating and developing coaching staffs within every organization he has served. From grassroots clubs to professional programs, he has helped coaches elevate their technical knowledge, tactical systems, long-term planning, culture-building strategies, and leadership skills.

A lifelong student of sport, he continually collaborates with some of the greatest minds in volleyball and other disciplines to remain at the forefront of the game.
ryan Coil
Co-Founder, VIP Volleyball Academy
Ryan Coil is a lifelong athlete, mentor, and co-founder of VIP Volleyball Academy. A Dallas, Texas native, Ryan grew up immersed in competitive sports and played basketball at The Colony High School, where he shared the court with standout players. In addition to basketball, Ryan also played tennis and ran cross country, lettering in all three sports during his high school career.
Although he had the talent and drive to pursue collegiate athletics, Ryan chose a different path—dedicating himself to a career in medicine. His passion for helping others and making a lasting impact has guided both his professional life and his role as a youth sports leader.
Now, as a parent and advocate for youth development, Ryan brings that same passion to VIP Volleyball Academy, which he co-founded with his wife, Jill. After watching his daughter navigate the club volleyball world, Ryan recognized that many programs fail to support young athletes emotionally and mentally—focusing only on performance.
At VIP, Ryan is committed to changing that. His mission is to help young women excel both on and off the court, ensuring they grow into confident, capable leaders. VIP stands for Volleyball Impact Performance—but to Ryan, it also stands for values, integrity, and purpose.
